The Exhibition about Mother Teresa in Washington DC .

In the framework of activities for the 100th birth anniversary of Mother Teresa, Mrs. Liri Berisha, President of Mother Teresa Cultural Foundation held a three-day visit to Washington DC, the American capital. On the morning of 28th April in the premises of United States Congress raised the flag in honor of the visit of Mrs. Liri Berisha and the opening of the exhibition dedicated to the humanitarian work of Mother Teresa.

In her opening address Ms. Liri Berisha emphasized that the United States has honored Mother Teresa with the highest medals, even the opening of this exhibition came about just in the U.S. Congress to show respect toward this appraisement.
Afterwards Mrs. Berisha evocating the rare values of Albanian humanist emphasized that everyone in our daily operations has something from Mother Teresa's humanity and it makes us feel proud for her Albanian origin.

Mr. Eliot Engel welcomed on behalf of the pro-Albanian group of U.S Congress, who thanked Ms. Berisha for the opening of this exhibition, bringing to the U.S. Congress so valuable relics and above all for her work as president of the foundation and the undertaken mission.

He gave to Mrs. Berisha the flag raised in her honor in U.S Congress and expressed his support and that of his colleagues of the U.S. Congress for the upcoming activities of Mother Teresa Cultural Foundation.
On the occasion of the opening of this exhibition, Mrs. Liri Berisha held meetings with congressmen in the U.S. Congress: Eliot Engel, Jackie Speier, Betsy Markey, Rosa Delauro, Diane Watson, Jim Moran, Robert Aderholt, Alcee Hastings, etc. who praised the work of the Mother Teresa Cultural Foundation and Mrs. Liri Berisha for honoring and praising the image of great Albanian humanist.
